Change of runsite

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the hares, today's SH3 run will now be an A to B run so the run site has changed and will now be at 7.1298338,100.578656, or for normal mortals:
From the Ko Yo intersection take New Hat Yai Rd for 8.5 km. Turn left and drive 1.65 km. Turn left onto the paved road and drive 100 m to the runsite. (For anyone wanting to approach the runsite from the old Hatyai road, at the Nam Noi traffic lights turn right (from Songkhla or left from Hat Yai and follow the road for about 4k then turn right at the hash sign for 100m to the runsite)
As this is an A-B there will be transport from the B site (as above) to the A site (the previously advised run site) which will leave SHARP at 4:30 p.m. so please don't be late if you want to do the long run.

  1. Probably too late to point this out, but the route shown on the clickable link (which does coincidentally start at the Pink Lady Resort!) does a big dog-leg down the new Hatyai road which doesn't need to be followed. Just take the left turn after the TruMoves tower and follow the road towards Nam Noi for 1.65k

  2. So if anyone may be held responsible can we call them responsible or should we follow the standard ethic and declare ....mai pen rai ....the time wasted doesn't matter
We all grew up with a sense of responsibility, and more importantly, a sense of right. Just because we live in thailand....does it mean we can absolve ourselves....forget that

    1. Were the directions above wrong? They seemed to be correct to me.

  3. The directions were correct but the lack of a hash sign was a screwup.

  4. There was a sign there from about 3:50 - it was the Full Moon Hash sign which I brought with me as it was the only one I had at home. It was still there at 7:30 when we went home as I picked it up again. Its posting got delayed because of a debate which took place at the mouth of Soi Suan Prek (the next soi up towards the NHR) about moving the run site yet again which was only resolved when the hares arrived and put their feet down. But I think anyone searching for the run sight at that time would have noticed the gaggle of hash vehicles blocking the road at that point and a bunch of hashers amusing the locals as they debated the finer points of hash etiquette! But we tried our best this week and I think the decision to move the run site was correct as young Danny had a problem on the run as did Julia and had they been going the other way, away from the runsite, and had the same problems, the whole pack would have had to stand about for an hour at the B site waiting for them to get down off the hill.
