Tits!

Because it came up at the hash on Saturday, and because The Online Scum always aims not only to entertain, but also to educate . . . .

The number and positioning of complex and simple mammary glands varies widely in different mammals. The nipples and glands can occur anywhere along the two milk lines, two roughly-parallel lines along the ventral aspect of the body. In general most mammals develop mammary glands in pairs along these lines, with a number approximating the number of young typically birthed at a time. The number of nipples varies from 2 (in most primates) to 16 (in pigs). The Virginia Opossum has 13, one of the few mammals with an odd number. The following table lists the number and position of glands normally found in a range of mammals:

Species Anterior
(thoracic)
Intermediate
(abdominal)
Posterior
(Inguinal)
Total
Goat, sheep, horse
guinea pig
0 0 2 2
Cattle 0 0 4 4
Cat 2 2 4 8
Dog 4 2 2 or 4 8 or 10
Mouse 6 0 4 10
Rat 6 2 4 12
Pig 6 6 6 18
Elephants, primates 2 0 0 2

Nerdy, nerdy! Is The end of the world nigh?!

As all Crony-fearing hashers know, it is written that should the day ever come when Songkhla Hash does not post its misdirections on its website before Saturday, the Head Crony would give the order for the world to be eaten by a giant snake called Rupert. Thus for 1,501 consecutive weeks (give or take the odd 1000 or so when none of us couldn't understand html) we have successfully held off the slithering servant of cronyism, but today is Saturday and as of noon today the website bears no tidings to comfort us that we will be succesful again in holding off rapatious Rupert. Yes, directions have been sent out by e mail and appear in this electronic organ, but how can we be sure that they are not part of an evil plot to foil the enemies of Cronyism? Do we really have a run? Has the nerd really been raptured by the Head Crony or where exactly did he disappear to on Thursday evening?
The horror, the horror etc...!

Rapture or rupture?

Yes it's true... at about midnight last night the entire SH3 committee were plucked by the hand of God and transported to another realm where they sit on the Head Crony's right eating luscious fruits provided by nubile young virgins while angels strum harps and sing sweet melodies. Well most of them do anyway, Egghead was rejected as unworthy and pitched back to earth where he awoke this morning wondering if Thursday night had just been a bad dream or was this really the mother of all hangovers. Come back Only a Yolk; some of us were just not designed for freedom!
Anyway. To the business in hand; ahem...
SH3 run #1502, Saturday March 27th 2010; 4:30 p.m.
Hares R2D2 and Kii Leum
Misdirections: From the Kao Saeng intersection take the old Yala road for 4.3k and turn right. Follow the road for 800 meters and turn left then follow the road/track for about 500 meters to the run site.

As for the three eyed horny monster, well he's the hare at HH3 this week! Yup It's another Off T run on Sunday which will be set from 4k down the new Yala road on the left. No news of whether Porky Sex his (mis)leading accomplice will be involved but the run will be at 4:00 p.m.
Can I go back to bed now?
On! On!

Naked shrieking terror!

Lawdy, lawdy! Is The Rapture™ at hand?!

As all Scripture-reading hashers know, it is written that should the day ever come when Songkhla Hash does not run on Saturday, the end is nigh. Thus for 1,501 consecutive weeks we have successfully held off the End of Days.

But tomorrow is Saturday and now, as of Friday noon, we have no indication that there will indeed be a run. Yes, hares were named last week, but who are they and where are they now? And a runsite? Do we even have a runsite? And who's that big red guy with the three eyes, the Head Crony? The horror, the horror!

From the Archives: Name that runsite!

From 2005, a photo of Solong freshly arrived back a runsite that will be instantly familiar to almost all veteran SH3 hashers . . . right?!

Into the 4th demi-millenium....

Now then; what 'ave we here? A pair of likely looking suspects! Loitering with intent to set a special run or two this weekend, I don't doubt, because, believe it or not they both have birthdays coming up in the next few days.
Both runs are from the same location and details are:

Songkhla H3 run #1501; Saturday March 20th; 4:30 p.m.
Hares: Buk Toy and Sex Sprinter
Misdirections: From the Ko Yo Intersection take the old Hatyai road for 4k. Turn left and go 6.5k then turn left and go 200 meters to the water tower at Napong

Hatyai H3 run #480; Sunday March 21st; 4:00 p.m.
Hares: Toy Boy and Sex Printer
Misdrections: as above.

The hares have promised that there will be a common theme to the two runs and awards of goodies are promised which will be based on what happens on both runs.

Promotional stuff:

PLEASE COME TO BOTH RUNS OR ELSE
(the hares will be upset)!

Seriously, these two guys have done more than anyone else over the last couple of years to provide us with great runs and it would be a fitting tribute if we turned out in big numbers to help them celebrate their birthdays.
Finally, anyone going to do a rehash for last week's 1500th run?
On! On!
