Yes, I was just thinking the same thing. When I left yesterday I think my Dr. No World Domination Webmeister Control Panel said we were up to something like 972.
Note there's also a race on to see who will log the 100,000th page view (that odometer-style gauge just to the right --> ). Whoever comes up with a screen capture of that magic moment will win a valuable prize! (Prize still to be determined by The Cronies®.)
Yes, the doggie post is #999 so the field is yours oh, Webmeister. I thought some kind of overblown wordy retrospective about the value of communication in today's modern hashing environment would be appropriate, but being a man of few words I thought you might make a better job of it!
I think if you add up the yearly totals on the right you'll see it's actually the 975th published post. (I vaguely recall the "total posts" figure approaching 1000 but that includes drafts and other unpublished posts.) So I'd say it's likely to happen next month.

Three times the fun!
As the hashing center for Thailand's Deep South, the Songkhla region offers three different hashing experiences: Songkhla Hash, every Saturday; Hatyai Hash, every Sunday; and Hatyai Full Moon Hash, which runs the night of every full moon or thereabouts. Misdirections to each weekend's runs usually appear here by Thursday or so.
