I won't lie to you, men. The situation out there is grim. It is steep. It is muddy. It is thorny and it is hot. But we shall not flag or fail. We shall run on to the end, we shall run in Phichit. We shall run over the hills and through the swamps. We shall run in shiggy and along trails scarcely fit for wild animals. We shall run where others dare not go so that, in the end, we may prevail, because prevail we must. And I have nothing to offer you but blood, sweat, and beers -- hey, hang on, beers?! Well on-on then!

And this just in: tomorrow, Friday, 6 June, is this month's quiz night at the Office Bar on Sadao Rd. Quizmaster is being billed as "Sparky Dave", which we take to be our very own Short Screw, better known in Hatyai as Sex of the Inhuman. The hash team should be at full strength, but so too may be the dreaded teachers. No blood and no sweat, but plenty of beers again and perhaps the occasional random firing of a mental synapse or two. And when was the last time that happened on a run?
