Yesterday's relay run was more like a recce as successive hares probed the forbidden Western slopes of the Chompoo Ridge, discovering that it is STILL impenetrable as it has always been as long as we have been running in this area. After Only a Yolk had led us off, Stick Insect, Buk Toy and Beavershot all made attempts to ascend the hill, but eventually it was left to Kii Leum to bring us out of the wilderness and to Perky and briefly Kee Ling to give us a run at the end in better country. Total length was about 4k which took almost an hour and a half to complete.
On! On! to better things today at Sala Hin Kliang if the rain lets up.

At least we managed to draw a recognizable map of Thailand.
ReplyDeleteBut the proportions are all wrong! The South should make up at least 70% while the importance of the North East is ridiculously exagerated. Or am I missing something here?
ReplyDeleteOK, so it's a Red Shirt map of Thailand ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a run! Only-A-Yolk went shiggy bashing and fell into a bog. Stick Insect couldn't get out of the Swamp and got found by Buk Toy who short cut missing both of S.I's 360's (as has a respected older short cutting B(S).
ReplyDeleteBuk Toy ignored advice and went up the hill for bit (quiet challenging Eh What! then came down about 60 metres from where he'd gone up.
Beavershot (The older respected FRB) led us into a cul de sac of ever worsening terrain.
Kii Leum, moaning all the way got us out of the shit(???) and Perky led us towards the runsite, for the best running of the day.
Kii Ling totally ripped off got to front run for the lasdt 100 metres.
We've learnt some things about relay haring that we will (hopefully) forget soon.
