Well, the consensus seemed to be a pretty decent run (custom designed by Egghead, laid by Stick Insect and me) and a hugely successful party. At least we didn't lose anyone during either event, and not for lack of trying. Full photo coverage coming soon!

The run before the Sunday after

A missive from our daughter has arrived bearing tidings of great joy! For lo our little girl is all grown up and hits 500 on Sunday. But who are these strange green people? Are they aliens? Or does this represent some kind of social comment on how eco-friendly we are. And why do we have to pay for our kids if they are wearing T shirts? Can't they afford proper coyotes this year?

All will be revealed on Sunday; or it will be if they can afford coyotes; otherwise only the top half of the free children will be revealed.

Anyway, for the misdirectionally retentive, Sai Kow resort is:
(From Songkhla) From the Ko Yo intersection take the old Hatyai road for 4.7k and turn left. Go 6k and turn left at the crossroads then go about 5k to the resort on the left.
(From Hatyai go to the Nam Noi traffic lights and turn right then go 11k to the resort on the left.)
Final word: Please note that the starting time is 3:30 p.m. (Weally weally!)

And while we are on the subject of times that are a'changin', this week's SH3 run will start at 4:00 p.m. as the decision was taken after last week's gentle monster to bring forward the date when we bring forward the time... etc.

Misdirections: From the Kao Saeng intersection take the old Yala road for 4.2k and turn right (immediately after the army base). Follow the road for about 1.5k to the run site behind the reservoir.

Eggless in Songkhla

This weeks Egg-free run details are:

Songkhla Hash House Harriers run# 1492, Saturday, January 16th 2010: 4:00 p.m.
Hares: Buk Toy and Sex Sprinter
Misdirections: From the Ko Yo intersection take the old Hatyai road for about 9k to the run site on the right.

The Hatyai H3 run on Sunday (January 17th) is being set by Scud and the run site is 'neath the True Moves tower on the new Hatyai road (8k from the Ko Yo intersection on the left). Run starts at 4:00 p.m.

If you want to register for the Union Hash 150th run and party on 31st January you can do so by speaking to Sex Sprinter at either of the runs this weekend: 150 Baht for SH3 and HH3 regulars covers the run, food, beer and entertainment.

Finally there is a quiz nite at the Office bar on Friday, January 15th. Stick Insect will be attempting to uphold the intellectual reputation of the Hash in the absence of the usual lightweights who support him. He shouldn't have much problem in seeing off what passes for opposition but he may feel lonely unless YOU go along and keep him company. All proceeds in aid of Songkhla Orphanage. Be there: 8:30 p.m.
