A walk in the park

An artist's impression of Saturday's SH3 run
Ah, an idyllic Saturday afternoon by the water's edge followed by convivial company and light refreshments al fresco. Ok, it's a run not far from the lake followed by beer and if you're lucky some food! But the hares' description makes it sound so much more....refined!
"Hot, scenic (bring a camera), wild creatures (some domestic - hash dogs leashes please), Autumn rubber leaves, possible run site compromise, bulls, hitchhiking and short-cutting encouraged, AND, no serious mountain climbing through restrictive undergrowth.  A walk in the park"

Details are:
Songkhla Hash House Harriers' run #2017, Saturday, March 7, 2020, 4:30 p.m.
Hares: Buck and Wi Wi
Misdirections:   From the Ko Yo intersection take the New Hatyai road for 8.9k and do a U-Turn, then come back 1.8k and turn left for 100m to the run site on the left at 7°06'21.7"N 100°31'24.7"E. If coming from Hatyai the left turn is immediately opposite the turning for the Korakot restaurant. Click here for Google Maps' pin.

Sunday's HH3 run is being set by Sex Printer, Beanie and Cooker (and not as originally advised by Gu Man Thong). The run site (changed as well) is: From the Wat Keow Kloy end of Poonakan go 5k and turn right just before Wat Tung Ngai (or if coming from the other end of Poonakan go 6k and turn left) and go 350m then turn left at 7.009389° 100.540179° (click here for Google Map's pin) and follow the road to the run site on the right. Map below. If coming from the old Hatyai road, take a left at the Nam Noi traffic lights (or right if you are coming from Hatyai) and go 3.5k to Wat Prutoh and turn right, then go 3.9k to the turning on the right at 7.009389° 100.540179°.

Incidentally, Ban Sai Kao, is holding its village festival this weekend and a number of hashers have sponsored and/or contributed to the event. There will also be deputations visiting the event on both Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. The villagers in Sai Kao have, over the years, been wonderful hosts to the hash, never objecting to us using their land for runsites or running the trails in their rubber, and even on one notable occasion mounting a rescue operation for a lost hasher. So if you have time before one or both of the hashes please go along and kin kao with the good people of Ban Sai Kao - you will be made very welcome.

Meanwhile on Friday evening there is a quiz night at Oscar Bar with formerly-evil-teacher-turned-baldie-b'stard, Chris posing the questions. Be there at 8 o'clock and we might be able to start on time!
