Tips from a real geezer

This training business is getting a bit depressing. Whenever I try to look up time goals etc. for people in our age group, well, we're practically off the age scale for marathon and half-marathon runners. So here's a nice little video: running tips from a 95-year-old champion. That's even older than Egghead!

  1. 200 meters in 55 seconds? I can do that! It's the other 20800 meters in 2 hours 29 minutes I'm having trouble with!

  2. Don't forget those extra 5 seconds!

So has 2:30 become the de facto self-respect cutoff time?

    1. Self respect will be preserved by not wimping out and dropping down to 10k!
But a major breakthrough this morning - 9.3k continuous running - no pee stops and no walking - in 1hr 6mins. An average of almost 8.5kph so just about on course for 2.5hrs.
