Wonders of nature: The Woodland Sprite

Shy and elusive, the Woodland Sprite is a gentle herbivore native to northern climes but now apparently fully adapted to life in the tropics. It can occasionally be glimpsed flitting from tree to tree in the higher elevations of rubber, often leaving a distinctive trail of colored tags or shredded paper.

Note that the Woodland Sprite is not to be confused with its close relative, the omnivorous Lesser Picnic Nymph, which can be dangerous when provoked or hungry!
