Well the old Garmin conked out on yesterday's recce and there's no time for another try. So enjoy a few laughs today because there might not be many on Saturday!
RIP. With Yardo's old one now refusing to communicate with any computer and mine in bits in Owen Oil, that leaves Buk Toy's 60Csx, which was so recently rescued from being MIA, the only working example. Sad. The passing a great piece of equipment: simple, efficient, easy to use (hell, even the pussies could follow its tracks!) and 100% reliable. More than can be said for the current crop of Garmin 60 somethings: overloaded with features, excessively complex, and temperamental to use. Or am I just getting old?
Ah, if I'd known these things were dropping like flies I would have brought a backup along. Anyhow no complaints -- over seven years of reliable use despite plenty of hard treatment.

Three times the fun!
As the hashing center for Thailand's Deep South, the Songkhla region offers three different hashing experiences: Songkhla Hash, every Saturday; Hatyai Hash, every Sunday; and Hatyai Full Moon Hash, which runs the night of every full moon or thereabouts. Misdirections to each weekend's runs usually appear here by Thursday or so.

ReplyDeleteI did wear the watch around on it so should have a track to put up here tomorrow. But I'm still getting over the trauma of those funky bridges.
