Beaver was 'ere!

Here courtesy of Google Street view is the turn off to Saturday's run site which for those capable of navigating to these things is at 7.046036,100.532365 (normal directions below).
But hold on a second! What is that strange object adorning the tree in front of the turning? Surely it can't be!
But yes, it is, it's an SH3 sign! And not just any old sign but one of Beavershot's do-it-yourself plastic jobbies. So bearing in mind that all hash information is now publicly available either on the SH3 One-Drive page (here) or through the back pages of the Online Scum and that there is a teensie weensie bit of information available elsewhere, which might help, it ought to be possible to work out what run this sign was indicating.

Now coincidentally Beavershot is likely to be joining us this weekend and it just so happens that he kind of owes your humble On Sec a quantity of beer relating to a previous challenge issued concerning the identity of his latest love interest. So assuming that he honors that debt, the beer owed will be given to the first person able to identify both the date and run number at which the Google Street View camera captured the SH3 sign in flagrante (and if he reneges on the deal there will be an alternative beery prize!) And just to make sure you do your homework, how many lays had Beavershot completed after the run and how long (approximately) was the long run? Obviously, Beavershot is not eligible as a Beaver never forgets and he will be able to confirm that the correct answer is, well, correct! Answers please as either a comment to this post on the Online Scum or as a post on the SH3 thread on Facebook messenger,

Misdirections to the SH3 run are:

HH3's run on Sunday is being set by Robocop, and details if its whereabouts will be posted when available. Meanwhile on Friday evening (March 29, 2019), there is a quiz night at Oscar Bar, where mein hosts Pui and Mark (alias Little Tool and Tool Box) will be providing cheese platters, and Egghead will be asking the questions. It should start around 8:00 p.m. and when it is all over there should be some live music at the Hot Bread Shop which is just a hop, skip and a jump away!

Relive last night's FMH3 run

The long run looked something like this ...

https://www.relive.cc/view/g31905446477
...or this (short run in green, long run extension in red). Thanks to everyone who turned out, conquered the dubious underfoot conditions without the aid of a sweeper and then made it a great evening!

Usual stuff applies: bring a head/hand light if you intend to do the short or long runs and contributions of food to share afterwards as well as beer are always appreciated, although full moon special brew will be on sale at 40 Baht a can. Dogs are welcome but will need to be kept on a leash at Egg Towers to avoid accidents with lesser animals and also during some parts of the run which go close to predominantly Muslim areas.

A florin of runs!

The two Bobs are setting this weeks runs, with the assistance of some other loose change, some of which is more attached than others. SH3's details for Saturday are:
Songkhla Hash House Harriers' run # 1966, Saturday March 16, 2019, 4:30 p.m.

Sunday's (March 17) HH3 run is being set by Jing Reed and Sai Duan with Kai Jeow helping out with the short run. From Songkhla, take the old Hatyai road and turn left at the Nam Noi traffic lights. Go 3.6k to Wat Pru Toh and turn right for 750m and turn left for 1k then right and follow the track to the run site on the right at  7.033485° 100.552190°. From Hatyai, the turning at the traffic lights is to the right. Alternatively from Poonakan take the turning opposite Wat Tungnai for about 2.5k and turn right, for 1k etc.

Finally, a heads up that The first day of Songkran (13th April) falls on a Saturday this year and it looks as if we will be joined that day by some friends from KL so the run will be in the morning and will be a town run. More news as plans develop but the format will be the usual mayhem punctuated by beer from the beer truck, followed by food back in Sisuda road. Put it in your diary!

Shifting site

The hares advise that today's SH3 runsite is now on the vacant lot on the left side of the road (not the right as building work has commenced there). In case of parking overflow, there is another vacant lot about 30 meters beyond the actual runsite. Signs will be put up at about 3:15 p.m. but the run site will be marked with shreddy prior to that.

More Sticky Little Tool
