All change!

To ensure your ultimate running pleasure experience this weekend, both hashes have changed runsites from their previously announced locations. In SH3's case the change is to ensure that this week's run does not turn into a midsummer monster, as it is that time of year already,  and in HH3's case the change is probably to accommodate what could be a monster turnout for their hastily (dis-)organised 1000th run!

The SH3 details are:
Songkhla Hash House Harriers' run #2026, June 20, 2020, 4:15/4:30 p.m. (short/long run)
Hares: Egghead, Only A Yolk and a canine cast of thousands.
Misdirections: From the Ko Yo intersection take the old Hatyai road for 4 km and turn left at the traffic lights just after the PTT station. Follow the road for 5.2 km (including bearing sharp right after 4 km) and turn left opposite the temple arch for Wat Borogam. For reasons best known to the hares, the first short run transport will take early-bird short runners to the beginning of their run at 4:15. There will be a second ride available when the long run commences at 4:30 for any later arrivals. The long run will not require transport and will start at 4:30 as normal. The Beer Butch has generously offered to sponsor intra-run refreshments this week, so a beer stop is in everybody's future! Finally, the run is fairly canine friendly but it would be a good idea if larger dogs could be equipped with leads at a couple of strategic points on the run to avoid distressing the local fowl population or disturbing any meditating monks who may be quietly whiling away their Saturday afternoon!

HH3's 1000th run will now take place from the runsite illustrated below and mapped at the bottom:

which is at: N 7.004808° E 100.545217° (click here for Google Maps' pin); or for those who prefer their directions in Dinosaurese, From the Wat Keow Kloy end of Poonakan go about 4.8 km and turn left into the turning before the crossroads immediately before Wat Tung Ngai (or from the other end of Poonakan the turning is the 2nd on the right after Wat Tungnai about 6.2 km up from the traffic lights on Kanjanawanit Rd.) Follow the road for about 500 m to the runsite on the right. As this is a self-catering run, it would be nice to make some sort of contribution to the food pile or to chip in some beer if you prefer, although the beer truck will be on hand to sell beer as usual. For anyone who has not already ordered a T shirt but would like to have one printed after the run, buy the T shirt of your choice and give it to Sex Printer either on Saturday or Sunday, or speak nicely to SH3's haberdasher!
