This week's SH3 run is again being set by Stick Insect and (yawn!) Little Tool, who is undertaking haring duties for the 4th week in a row, thus challenging Not the Full Shilling who seemed to be hell-bent on knocking Egghead of the perch he has occupied for the last 19 years as leading hare. But now along comes Little Tool and totally dominates the hare line! I mean what is it coming to when our regular boring old hares can't even get a chance to lay a run?
Details are:
Songkhla Hash House Harriers' run #1973, Saturday May 4, 2019, 4:30 p.m.
Hares: Stick Insect and Little Tool
Misdirections: From the Kao Seng intersection, take the Old Yala Road for 5.8k. Turn right into Soi 1 (Tanon Laem Deun, which is the first soi past the turning for Wat Chamuthit). Follow the road for 750m. to the runsite on the right. If coming from Hatyai, get to Tha Kham and head east to the old Yala road via the big tree at Sai Kao either by going straight ahead for 3.5k and turning left at Wat Khun Thong or by bearing left at the big tree then driving about 3.7k, reaching the old Yala road through the market at Thung Wang (only feasible on a motorbike!) and turning left then following the old Yala road. The turning off for the runsite is 5.2k north of the Angthong intersection of the New Yala/Old Yala roads, on the left. The coordinates of the runsite are 7.127111°, 100.625056°.
Sunday's run is being set by Robocop and Sex Au Au and is from the quarry down past the big tree near Wat Khun Thong: From the OYR turn right at Wat Khun Thong and go 1k then turn right and follow the track for about 300m to the runsite at 7.042566°100.646333°, or from Hatyai get to Tha Kham and head east towards the old Yala road passing the big tree at Sai Kao after about 6k then going ahead for another 2.5k and turning left. (Map below)
Finally, don't miss this week's quiz night which takes place on Friday (May 3) at Oscar's Bar where Stick Insect will be the quiz master having stepped in to relieve the overworked Little Tool of the duty. But LT will be our host for the evening and is promising a repeat of March's Cheese platters as refreshments plus the usual reasonably priced mega-bottles of Leo beer. The quiz starts at 8:00 p.m. Be there!
