Yesterday's B-to-A

Yesterday's run according to my watch. It ascended 190m in the first 18 minutes, though several of us agreed that it was the best way anyone has found to get up this notorious hill (the east side of the hills between the Old and New Hatyai roads). I measured total ascent at 282m and distance at about 5km. As always, click to see it big.

  2. Strange! My GPS gave total ascent as 331m.
    A little short cutting perhaps?

  3. It's true, I didn't do that last little hill you did but I did do all the rest. That watch always seems low on ascent. Next time I'll bring along another GPS and compare them.

  4. I also noted that we took 1050 metres, nearly all climbing, to reach the first peak. Maybe some non-
    Non-
lazy hasher can calculate the angle of ascent.

  5. Usually measured as percent grade rather than angle. This one was 193m of ascent in the first 1.25km, which is 15.4%.
