Well, this blog officially hit zero views in the last couple months of 2020, so rather than try to amuse myself here I'm going to stop adding weekly misdirections. (If anyone else feels strongly that they should still appear here, I'd be happy to give you the password.) I'll try to keep the Committee info up to date should you wish to get in touch with the hash. But the best way is just to go to the SH3 Facebook page, as everyone else seems to do now. The Online Scum has had a good 11-year run, and there remain plenty of amusing old posts here for anyone in a nostalgic mood. On-on!

Songkhla Hash House Harriers Run 2050 
Date:  Saturday, 19th December 2020 
Start Time:  4.00pm 
Hares:  Yardstick 

From the Kao Seng intersection take the Old Yala Road for 16.0km (5.3km from the NYR / OYR intersection at Ang Thong) and turn right just before Wat Kuhn Thong. Go straight for 4.2km, going 700m past the big tree and turn left(opposite the arch to Wat Khao Loong). Go 400m., then left again for 300m, stayright, and then turn right again at the ‘T’ junction. Go straight for 700m to the runsite. 

 

If coming from Hatyai, head east on Poonakan Rd for 11.0km and turn left at Wat Khao Kloi for 1.7km. Turn right at the Tha Kham traffic lights for 5.0km towardsthe big tree at Ban Sai Khao. Turn right (opposite the arch to Wat Khao Loong) for 400m. then left for 300m, stay right, and turn right again at the ‘T’ junction. Go straight for 700m to the runsite.

Misdirections: From the Ko Yo intersection take the new Hatyai road for about 8k and turn left at the hash sign then follow the concrete road past the driver training center and the quarry entrance for 600m to the runsite on the right at 7.1025°N 100.5174°S. If coming from Hatyai, turn left at the Nam Noi traffic lights on the Old Hatyai (Kanjanawanit) road and go 5.5k and turn right at the Hash sign just after Wat Srisatkiree, then follow the road for 400m to the runsite on the left.

 Songkhla Hash House Harriers Run 2046 Date: Saturday, 21st November 2020 Start Time: 4.00pm Hares: Yardstick & All Black From the Kao Seng intersection take the Old Yala Road south for 17.7km (7.0km from the NYR / OYR intersection at Ang Thong) and turn right just after the Ban Thang Khwai School & just before the bus shelter with the bright yellow roof. Proceed for 3.3km, through the small village and along the gravel track, then turn RIGHT for 200m and turn right again to the runsite. If coming from Hatyai, proceed along the New Chana Road for 20.6kms from the Khlong Wa intersection (overpass), or 7.8kms from the Phichit Road junction. Turn left for 2.7kms along the concrete road, and turn left for 200m along the dirt road and turn right again to the runsite. Runsite co-ordinates: N7.0101° E100.6452°

Saturday's HH3 party

No SH3 run tomorrow but an HH3 party, starting about 4:15.

RIP Tam

The crap year continues. Tam a.k.a. Balls Up was our 953rd named runner and did over 150 runs with SH3. A legendary Songkhla character and it's going to be hard to imagine The Corner Beer without him. Ride on, Tam.

SH3 Run No. 2044: Mick's 70th

It would have been Mick’s 70^th birthday this week. So, this week’s run is honour of our mate. Only a Yolk is kindly hosting a celebration for him at Egg Towers as well as setting the run with help from The Mickolytes. As we move into shorter days please note the run will start at 16:15. 

Even if you can’t make the run it would be great to see you for the on on after.

Hares: Only a Yolk, Ruu Kap Jang, Meals on Wheels, Medusa & Kwanta.

Misdirections: From Songkhla take the old Hatyai road for 4k and turn left at the lights, then go 5.2k and turn right through the Borogam temple arch. Go ahead for 150m then bear right and go 300m keeping the temple wall on your left. At a T junction turn left and after 50m turn right. Park off the road on either side but try not to block any one else's exit. From Hatyai take Kanjanawanit road towards Songkhla and turn right at the Kuan Hin traffic lights (13k from the Ko Hong intersection or 6k past the Nam Noi traffic lights).  

The run site is at: 7.070432° 100.596420°

Misdirections: take the old Yala road from the Kao Seng/Samrong intersection past the turn off to the Songkhla Zoo.. Just past the big school yard (Ban Dan School) on your right at about eight km from the Kao Seng intersection, make a u-turn to your right and turn left just past the school wall, now on your left. Proceed about 1.5 km to the run site on the paved road. Run-site coordinates are 7°06'20"N 100°37'10"E.

Run No.2041 Saturday 24/10/202 16:30 Hare: SexprinterMisdirections: Tung Jaeng Restaurant. Co-ords: N7° 5'12" E100°37'25"The restaurant is approximately 8.0km along the New Yala Road from the Ko Yor intersection overpass. If coming from Hatyai you will need to do a ‘U’ Turn either, 1.5km towards Ko Yor using the horseshoe overpass; or straight on 500m towards Songkhla using the level ‘U’ turn. If coming from Ko Yor overpass on the NYR go 1.0km past the restaurant and do a ‘U’ Turn. The restaurant is approximately 1.5km from the other end of New Yala Road at the Ang Tong traffic lights. Songkhla Hash House Harriers Run 2041 Date: Saturday, 17th October 2020 16:30

Misdirections:

If coming from Songkhla, from the Kao Seng intersection take the Old Yala Road for 13.7.0km (3.0km from the NYR / OYR intersection at Ang Thong) and turn right at the traffic lights. Go 1.4km and turn left at the traffic lights, and go 2.0km to the big tree and turn right for 700m. Turn left (opposite the arch to Wat Khao Loong) for 400m, then left for 300m, staying right, and turn right again at the ‘T’ junction. Go straight for 700m to the runsite.

If coming from Hatyai, from the intersection of Kanchanawanit Rd & Poonakan Rd, head east on Poonakan Rd for 11.0km and turn left at Wat Khao Kloi for 600m and then turn right and follow the road for 2.0km. Turn right onto Ban Sai Krop Rd for 3.0km towards the big tree at Ban Sai Khao. Turn right (opposite the arch to Wat Khao Loong) for 400m, then left for 300m, staying right, and turn right again at the ‘T’ junction. Go straight for 1km to the runsite.

SH3 Songkhla Hash House Harriers' run #2040, Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, 4:30 p.m. Hares: ReTardis & DaLek Misdirections: From The Ko Yo intersection take the old Hatyai road for 4.7 km and turn left for 8 km, then right (at Wat Keow Kloy onto Poonakan Road) for 6.2 km and turn left at the sign into Bhudan valley then follow signs/paper to the run site at N 7.0008° E 100.5304°. If coming from the other end of Poonakan Toad, Bhudan valley is 4.8 km on the right.
