An anniversary
Yes, it was exactly two years ago today that this hardy group set off up Khao Jet Yod, a trip that is generally remembered to be the most enjoyable of our three hillwalks to date. I was going to say "easiest and most enjoyable" but you may recall that the first day, up Phraiwan Waterfall, was no picnic, and possibly harder than either day going up Khao Luang on Hillwalk I.
Several Thai friends in fact have expressed surprise that we chose to go up the east side, which apparently is quite rare. And indeed if we ever want to do it again, a nice easy ascent from the west, a couple leisurely nights at the top, and a descent back down the same side might make a perfectly satisfying little walk.
