It has all the hallmarks: the apparently random route, the sudden changes of direction, the in and out trails perilously close. It has KY written all over it; except that this was not Sunday's comparatively well-organised HH3 run, but Stick Insect's 999th on Saturday. The GPS that never lies records it as 7.5k but that includes the short run diversion which cut out the "hill" that never quite lived up to its billing. The apres run included a BBQ washed down with a couple of bottles of Aborigine's Armpit or whatever the bubbly stuff was called, as well as free birthday beer and a circle that featured a flying birthday cake.So it's on-on to the 1000th next Saturday, and a Sunday HH3/HHFM3 double run at Prem's place with a camp out to follow. Like the man said: three times the fun!
